Majh Raag
From SikhiPedia
Majh raag is attributed to Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who developed it from a Punjabi folk tune. It does not appear in the Raagmala nor does it seem to be a classical raga today. Possibly it has been reserved purely for Gurbani Sangeet. Majh was the setting for compositions by Guru Nanak, Guru Angad Dev Ji, Guru Amardaas Ji, Guru Ramdaas Ji and Guru Arjan Dev Ji. No information about this raag is available from English sources. The reader is referred to a Punjabi text Gurmat Sangeet by Bhai Vir Singh, published by the Chief Khalsa Diwan, Amritsar.
